Mark Ramsey is a TV personality who became well known after appearing on the reality show “Moonshiners” on the Discovery Channel.
The show follows the lives of many moonshiners in the backwoods of the U.S. as they attempt to make wine and break the law.
Ramsey grew up exploring the woods of East Tennessee. As a young man, he was introduced to a local moonshine expert and quickly learned the trade through hands-on experience.
In 2015, it was reported that he had joined the East Tennessee-based legal distilling company Sugarlands Distilling company to make his spirit through a unique partnership with the company’s owner, Digger Manens.
Ramsey also specialized in traditional moonshine, and his expertise has led to the development of many different varieties of moonshine. Another of their many products is Mark Ramsey’s Apple Rye Brandy, made in partnership with Digger Mann. Mark and Digger also started a new brand, Hazelnut Rum, by Mark and Digger.
