A native of La Grande, Oregon, Rudabeh Shahbazi is an American journalist working at WGN as an anchor on a live, daily three-hour national newscast called “News Nation.”
She previously worked as an evening news anchor at WFOR, the CBS affiliate in Miami, Florida. Shahbazi also hosts public affairs on South Florida, airing Sundays on WBFS, MyTV33.
She graduated in 2004 from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Sociology. She also has a Master of Arts in Journalism and Television Production from the University of California at Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
