Ray Fisher (Raymond Fisher) is an American actor. He is best known for his roles in the comedy The Good, the Bad, and the Confused.

He is also known for portraying Cyborg in the DC Extended Universe, appearing first in a cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and then in a lead role in Justice League (2017) and its 2021 director’s cut and for playing detective Henry Hays in the third season of HBO’s True Detective.

Fisher started performing in the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s “Shakespeare Live” initiative, which brings professional theater to schools throughout the New York metropolitan area, in 2008. He was cast as Tom Robinson in the program’s production of To Kill a Mockingbird, which he had first read in high school.

Fisher appeared in William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey in 2009. To play Muhammad Ali within the 2013 Off-Broadway production of Fetch Clay, Make Man at the New York Theatre Workshop in New York City, he gained 20 pounds of muscle, going from 193 to 212 pounds.

He had a cameo appearance as the superhero Victor Stone / Cyborg in the superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. In 2017, he repeated the role in the ensemble Justice League. Fisher has repeated his character as Cyborg in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. This role in the narrative earned him several awards and was cited as one of the most improved aspects of the film.

Fisher said on January 14, 2021, that he had been cut from a previously unannounced Cyborg appearance in the upcoming The Flash because of his claims against Whedon and Hamada and his reluctance to collaborate with them again.
