Shannon Royster is an American anchor who works as a Weeknight Evening Anchor for WJCL 22 News. She anchors the 6 pm, 7 pm, and 11 pm newscasts each weeknight.
Royster attended Ohio State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. She went on and earned her Masters of Arts in Journalism at Kent State University.
Royster has won a regional Emmy, several regional AP awards as well as other community service awards for her contributions to the communities.
She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta and the National Association of Black Journalists.
