He was nominated for a Tony Award for this role. He is also known for his role as a New York Assistant District Attorney (ADA) Rafael Barba in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2000, Raul made his broadway debut as Riff Raff in the revival of The Rocky Horror Show. He also played the role of Jonathon in the Off-Broadway production of Tick, Tick… Boom! and Caractacus Potts in the Broadway production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in 2005.
