Gabriela Frias Biography
A native of Mexico City, Mexico, Gabriela Frias is a Mexican journalist working as a business anchor for CNN en Español. She is also a host of En Efectivo, which is the network’s personal finance show.
Frias graduated with honors from the Carlos Septién School of Journalism in Mexico City. She was also part of the group of 95 students who graduated from the High Management Programme of the INCAE University in Costa Rica in 2007. The program’s goal is to prepare students to assume high responsibilities in the private and public sector.
Gabriela used to work for the Reforma newspaper before which she was an assistant director of the Department of External Relations of the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City for more than two years.

Frias joined CNN en Español in 2000 as the producer as well as a host of the Economía y Finanzas (Economics and Finance) program. Since then, Frias has gone on to be the presenter and producer of En Efectivo. En Efectivo is a matinée program about personal finances. It provides viewers with economic and financial information since 2002.
She is responsible for the creation of the business daily news show. Previously, Frias was in charge of the selection of the guests and the content of the show. Frias was a presenter and reporter for Negocios México in 1998, a joint project between Reforma and CNN en Español.
En Efectivo
Frias is the presenter and producer of En Efectivo whose idea is to offer economic and financial information in a way that can be easily understood without technicalities.
