Zae Romeo Biography
A native of McKinney, Texas, Zae Romeo is an American singer who became popularly known as a contestant on season 20 of the NBC show, The Voice.
Having had a rocky start to life, Zae always found comfort in music. He teaches music and art to kids and is a worship leader at his church.

Zae Romeo Parents – Family
Romeo was placed into foster care when he was 3 years old together with his siblings. He was later on adopted. When he was 16, Romeo got in trouble at school and was afraid of disappointing his parents.
He, therefore, ran away and tried to make it on his own by busking on the streets. Zae eventually returned back home to his adoptive family after seeing his face on a missing person’s poster.
Romeo says he is working on building a new relationship with his birth mother.

During his blind audition, Romeo sang ‘Falling’ by Harry Styles and got a four-chair turn from all the four judges who praised his performance and his voice as well.
“I love your voice.” Kelly Clarkson told him. “And that’s why I turned around first and led all these boys to what they should do.”
“What a unique voice you have. Such an awesome and daring vibrato that allows your voice to be as tender as you want it to be.” Blake showered him with praise.
John Legend chipped in the praise said; “This is why we do this show, to work with special people like you, who have a real, beautiful gift and artistic flair.”
Nick Jonas on the other hand referred to his performance as spiritual.

Having attracted a four-chair turn from all the judges, Romeo had a tough decision to make on whom of the coaches he would choose. He eventually Nick Jonas to be his coach.
