Tyrone White was a Miami-Dade Police Captain who was best known as the father of New England Patriots running back James White.

Tyrone White Death / Accident
On September 20, 2020, Tyrone died after he was involved in a car accident at the intersection of Griffin Road and Southwest 118th Avenue which happened around 1.01 p.m.
The accident involved two cars one of which overturned and erupted in flames while the other was left badly damaged.
White was in one of the cars with Lisa. He died on the scene while his wife was airlifted. She is in critical condition at Memorial Regional Hospital.

White served as a Miami-Dade Police Department Captain. He also played college football at Florida A&M University and later became the school newspaper’s sports editor.
Tyrone also worked as a coach for James’ youth teams in football and baseball while still serving as a police officer.
