Holmes has also previously worked as a weekend anchor for CNN Newsroom and a correspondent for the CBS Evening News.
Holmes began his career at KSNF Channel 16 in Joplin, Missouri. He then moved on to become a correspondent for NBC News, where he covered the Iraq War. Holmes has also reported for BET News and was an anchor for Good Morning America Weekend Edition.
