A native of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Richard Lamar, popularly known as Silentó or as Prince Silentó, is an American rapper and singer.
Silento became well known for his debut single “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)”. The song charted at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Silento’s parents are divorced. He was by his mother, grandmother, and aunt after his parents divorced. His mother works in a departmental store and his father is a storekeeper.

Silentó Murder Charges
The famous rapper was arrested in DeKalb County and charged with murder on February 1, 2021, in the shooting death of his cousin.
It is reported that police responded to shots fired call on January 21 around 3:30 a.m. in the Panthersville area. The rapper was booked into the DeKalb jail on one count of murder.
Other Arrests
He had previously been arrested on August 28, 2020, following a domestic disturbance and after being charged with inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant he was released.
Silento was later arrested the following day in Valley Village, Los Angeles after walking into a random home wielding a hatchet while looking for his girlfriend.
Later on October 23, 2020, he was arrested again and was charged with speeding and reckless driving, alleging that he had been going 143 mph on Interstate 85.
