A native of Newton, Iowa, Sara Haines is an American television host and journalist. She is a correspondent on Today, ABC News, and Good Morning America.
She is also the co-host of the ABC daytime talk shows The View and Strahan, Sara and Keke.
Haines attended Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government in 2000.

Haines joined The View as a permanent co-host in the show’s twentieth season. She had been a host of The View since 2014 when she started as a guest co-host before she was promoted to a regular in 2016. She left the show in July 2018, for Good Morning America. Later in 2020, Haines returned to The View for its 24th season.

Haines began co-hosting Good Morning America alongside Michael Strahan from September 10, 2018. The show was later renamed GMA3: Strahan, Sara and Keke in August 2019, after Keke Palmer was added as a third co-host.
Later in 2020, Haines returned to The View as a frequent guest co-host. She eventually permanently returned to The View for its 24th season after reformatting of GMA3 that same year.
