A native of Carmel, Indiana, Rob Schmitt is an American news anchor and reporter who previously served as a co-host on Fox & Friends First.

Schmitt attended Indiana University where he graduated with a B.A. in journalism in 2005.

Schmitt joined Fox News in 2016. While working at the station, he served as co-host on Fox Nation with Carley Shimkus as well as a co-anchor of Fox & Friends First with Jillian Mele. He left the station in August 2020 for Newsmax.
He began his journalism career in 2008 as a weekend anchor at the ABC affiliate WPLG-TV in Miami, Florida. Later in 2011, he joined CBS Los Angeles as an anchor, and eventually, he joined WNBC-TV in 2013 as an anchor in New York City.
