A Weymouth, Massachusetts native, Rob Corddry (Robert William Corddry) is an American actor, writer, and comedian.

He is best known for working as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart from 2002 to 2006 and for his starring role in the film Hot Tub Time Machine.

Corddry went to Weymouth North High School. He then attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he had planned to major in journalism but later focused on Drama classes and plays including Torch Song Trilogy, Ten Little Indians, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Romeo, and Juliet, and Reckless.

Corddry accepted an audition for The Daily Show in 2002. Due to the absence of Jon Stewart, he hosted an episode on February 9, 2006. Stewart revealed on August 24, 2006, that Corddry’s last day on the show will be August 24.

In Blackballed, Corddry played the title character, and in The Heartbreak Kid, he played Mac, Ben Stiller’s best friend. Also, he played Ron Fox in Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay. He appeared in the John Cusack film Hot Tub Time Machine in 2010.

From March 4, 2007, until the series’ cancellation, Corddry starred as the main character in the Fox mid-season comedy The Winner. On Cartoon Network’s Weighty Decisions, he also did some voice work as Gordon the animated Devil.

On March 29, 2010, he co-hosted WWE Raw with fellow cast member Clark Duke from Hot Tub Time Machine. He was instrumental in the spread of Justin Halpern’s Twitter account, Shit My Dad Says. In the History Channel production World War II in HD, he plays World War II soldier and jazz musician Roscoe “Rockie” Blunt.
