Penn Jillette is an American magician, actor, musician, inventor, television presenter, and author, best known for his work with fellow magician Teller as half of the team Penn & Teller.

The duo has been featured in numerous stage and television shows, such as Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Penn & Teller: Bullshit!, and is headlining in Las Vegas at The Rio. Jillette serves as the act’s orator and raconteur, providing comedic relief and narration throughout the show.

His solo work includes his podcast, Penn’s Sunday School, and his book God, No!: Signs You Already May Be an Atheist and Other Magical Tales. Jillette is also an outspoken atheist, libertarian, and skeptic, and often uses his platform to discuss these topics.

Before losing weight, Jillette weighed 322 pounds, which was compounded by a 90% blockage in his heart. This prompted him to take drastic measures to improve his health. To do this, he followed the “potato diet,” which meant that he ate nothing but plain potatoes under medical supervision.

Jillette revealed that whilst on the potato diet he ate around five plain potatoes a day for 14 days and lost 14 pounds. After that, he gradually began to add other foods back into his diet, while also incorporating regular exercises such as running and weightlifting. As a result, he was able to lose an impressive 105 pounds in just three months.

Jillette has published eight books, including the New York Times Bestseller, God, No!: Signs You May Already Be an Atheist and Other Magical Tales. This book was published in 2011 and explores the idea of atheism and the implications of it on society. It also looks at how belief and faith can be important in our lives.

He also wrote a book called Every Day is an Atheist Holiday!: More Magical Tales from the Author of God, No! which was published in 2013. This book follows the same themes but is more humorous in its approach.
