A native of Morocco, Micheline Roquebrune is a French- Moroccan painter who is best known as the wife of the late actor Sean Connery.

As a painter, Roquebrune creates her paintings using “simplified forms, unexpected croppings and changes of scale” in order to draw the viewers right into the action.

Roquebrune was married to Scottish actor Sean Connery from 1975 until the time of his death on October 31, 2020. Prior to her marriage to Sean, she had been married and divorced twice.

She and Sean met at a golf tournament at the Mohammedia golf club in Morocco in March 1972. At the time the two didn’t speak the same language, but she stated that never became a barrier.

Sean Connery’s Death

Her husband Sean died in his sleep on 31 October 2020, at his home in Nassau in the Bahamas. He was 90 years old. His son, Jason, stated that he “had been unwell for some time”

News of his death was announced by his family and Eon Productions that same day.
