A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Meredith Vieira is an American journalist and television personality who is the host of the syndicated game show 25 Words or Less from Fox Television Stations.

She was the original moderator of The View, an ABC talk show (from 1997 to 2006).  She also co-hosted the NBC News morning news program, Today (2006–2011).
