Melanie Jayne Lynskey a native of Taranaki is a New Zealand actress. She made her film debut in the 1994 film Heavenly Creatures. She moved to the United States where she was able to land roles in; Ever After, Detroit Rock City, But I’m a Cheerleader, Coyote Ugly, Abandon, Sweet Home Alabama, Shattered Glass, and Flags of Our Fathers.
She came into prominence after playing the role of rose in the sitcom Two and a Half Men. She is also known for her role as Michelle Pierson on the HBO series Togetherness. This role earned her a nomination for the 2015 Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress.
