Matt James Biography
A native of New York City, Matt James is the founder of a charity organization known as ABC Food Tours and the lead Bachelor on season 25 of The Bachelor.
James is also the best friend of The Bachelorette’s season 15 runners up, Tyler Cameron. They both run the charity organization together.

Matt James Family
There is no much information about his family but a little information is known about his mother. James’ mother has been his greatest inspiration, backing whatever he wanted to do and nurturing his soul in the church. He shares a very great bond with his mother.
In high school, James was a football standout and he got scholarship offers from Syracuse and the University of Kentucky. However, he wanted to stay close to his mother so she could see his games.
He, therefore, decided to join Wake Forest University which he refers to as the best decision he ever made, second from becoming a Christian.

James is currently single. However, as the lead bachelor on season 25 of the show, it is no doubt that at the end of the show, he will have a girlfriend/ fiancee. We will update information on who he ends up with.
Matt James Tyler Cameron
James and Tyler Cameron are best friends. They both met in college. They are now roommates and they both run the charity organization ‘ABC Food Tours’ together.
Matt James Football
While in high school, James played both basketball and football. However, in college he chose football. He says basketball left him with more injuries than the tally of bones broken by football.
James was redshirted his freshman year at Wake Forest and missed 16 games in three years with a broken collarbone, a separated shoulder and a broken hand.
Matt James NFL
James gave himself a year to make it to the NFL. However, he didn’t make the cut with the Carolina Panthers and was cut. He was called back but he was again cut by the New Orleans Saints.
Matt James Career
After not making it to the NFL, James had a plan b. He had previously met Chris Leak, vice president at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and a member of the Wake Forest Board of Visitors.
Since he was interested in wealth management and was an economics major, Chris Leak helped him get an internship with Morgan Stanley. He also did stints at Merrill Lynch, Verger Capital Management LLC, and Davenport & Co. LLC.
When he did not make it to the NFL, James was hired by PNC Bank in Pittsburgh.
Matt James The Bachelor
On June 12, 2020, The Bachelor Franchise announced that James would star as the Bachelor on the show’s 25th season. He is the first-ever black man to star as the lead Bachelor in the history of the show.
