Lindsey VanDeweghe Biography
Lindsey VanDeweghe is an American native best known as the wife of the late Vincent Jackson, an American former football wide receiver.
Her late husband, Vincent, played for 12 seasons in the National Football League. He played college football at Northern Colorado and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
Vincent Jackson Death
Lindsey’s husband Jackson died on February 15, 2021, at the age of 38 years. He was found dead at the Homewood Suites in Brandon, Florida, where he had been staying since January 11. Vincent was found dead at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The discovery of his death came after efforts from the police to locate and speak with Jackson just four days earlier. This was as a result of a missing person report filed by Jackson’s family members. They found him, assessed his well-being, and canceled the missing case report.
A statement from the sheriff’s office read; “My heart aches for the many loved ones Vincent Jackson leaves behind, from his wife and children to the Buccaneers nation that adored him.
“Mr. Jackson was a devoted man who put his family and community above everything else. Football aside, he touched countless lives through his Jackson In Action 83 Foundation. We shared a passion for supporting military families, and three years ago, Jackson was even made an honorary deputy by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office to recognize his dedication to the community.
“He will be sorely missed by not only football fans across the country but also the people here in Hillsborough County who reaped the benefits of his generous contributions.”

Lindsey VanDeweghe and Vincent Jackson
VanDeweghe and Vincent got married on July 16, 2011. This was after he proposed to her that same year at the University of North Colorado after he was inducted into the 2011 Athletic Hall of Fame.
During his induction speech, Vincent asked Lindsey who was his girlfriend at the time, to join him on stage. He dropped to one knee and proposed to her saying;
“I love you, I will always love you, I want to start a family with you, I want to spend the rest of my days with you. You are my soulmate. Will you marry me?”
