After completing college, DeMarco went for internship at WBFF-TV in Baltimore to learn about the television business, hoping that one day she would work on one of those popular food or travel shows.
She started as a writer/producer at WTTG in 2004. DeMarco moved into a general assignment reporter position at FOX 5 after covering traffic part-time for several radio stations, including WTOP, and beginning a tech segment focused on mobile apps for FOX 5 Morning. She now anchors Saturday and Sunday nights as well. Her favorite part of her work is meeting new people every day and hopefully making a positive difference in their lives.
She reported on presidential elections and President Barack Obama’s inauguration and also stood on the shoreline as Hurricane Sandy rolled past Ocean City, Maryland. Also, she shared a Virginia family’s story as they launched a media campaign to get their 7-year-old an experimental drug, which doctors say ultimately saved his life.
Nightly local news is extremely important to her and she’s honored to be a part of it. Apart from her job, you can find her in many exciting restaurants across DC region. She has a dog that loves to get out and axplore all of the beautiful spots around, especially Great Falls and Beach Drive.
