A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jane Coaston is an American political journalist who works as a Senior Politics Reporter at Vox.
She attended the University of Michigan where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science.
While at the University, Jane got the Stephen J. Tonsor Best Oral Presentation of Thesis Award for her theory, “Nazi Propaganda Before and After the Battle of Stalingrad”.
Coaston was a double-cross beneficiary of the James B. Angell Scholar Award and a four-time beneficiary of University Honors. She also filled in as the Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan Review in 2009.
