Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, the former child star of “Toddlers & Tiaras” and “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”, has graduated from high school.
The 18-year-old shared the news of her academic achievement on her Instagram account, posting a photo of herself in a blue cap and gown with a bouquet of flowers. She captioned the photo, “I did it! Class of 2023! I’m so proud of myself!”
Future Plans
Thompson also revealed her plans for the future, saying that she wants to pursue a career in nursing. She told People magazine that she has always been interested in helping others and that she hopes to make a difference in people’s lives.
“I want to be a nurse because I love taking care of people and I want to save lives,” she said. “I’ve seen a lot of things in my life and I think that nursing is something that I would be good at.”
Thompson added that she is grateful for the support of her family, especially her sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, who has been her legal guardian since their mother June “Mama June” Shannon struggled with substance abuse and legal issues.
“Pumpkin has been my rock through everything,” Thompson said. “She helped me with my schoolwork, she encouraged me to follow my dreams, and she always made sure I had everything I needed. She’s not just my sister, she’s my best friend.”

Thompson also said that she has a good relationship with her mother now after Mama June completed a year of sobriety and reunited with her daughters.
“I love my mom and I’m happy that she’s doing better,” Thompson said. “She’s been through a lot and she’s come a long way. She’s always telling me how proud she is of me and how much she loves me.”
Thompson also thanked her fans for their love and support over the years, saying that they have helped her grow as a person and overcome challenges.
“I appreciate all the people who have watched me grow up on TV and who have supported me through everything,” Thompson said. “They have seen me at my best and at my worst, and they have always been there for me. They are like family to me.”
Thompson said that she is excited for the next chapter of her life and that she hopes to inspire others with her story.
“I want to show people that no matter where you come from or what you’ve been through, you can achieve anything you set your mind to,” Thompson said. “You just have to work hard, stay positive, and never give up.”
