DeSz Biography
A native of Houston, Texas, DeSz is an American singer. She is a classically trained singer and she performs with Kanye West’s Sunday Service Choir at Coachella.
DeSz became widely known after auditioning and competing in Season 19 of The Voice on NBC.

She is 30 years old as of 2020.
DeSz Parents
DeSz revealed that her mother encouraged her to sing when she was a kid. She, however, died from a heart attack and aneurysm when DeSz was 11 years old.
She sang at her mother’s funeral since her mother had asked her to. This was DeSz first public performance. Speaking of the performance she said;
“It was the most nerve-racking, the most uncomfortable situation I could ever be put in, and I would never wish that on anyone.
“But I did it because I wanted to honor her. It helped me, and every time I get on stage, it is a piercing feeling that I get. This is where I need to be. There has never been anything else I have ever been sure of besides being on stage with a microphone.”
DeSz The Voice
The singer auditioned on season 19 of The Voice and got a four-chair turn from all the coaches. She sang her rendition of Toni Braxton’s “Un-break My Heart” in the blind auditions.
She went on to make it through the knockouts and battles until she made it to the live shows.

DeSz is amongst the competitors on the show who made it to the top 9. Other contestants include;
DeSz Kanye West
DeSz auditioned to perform with Kanye West’s Sunday Service Choir at Coachella after she decided to move to Los Angeles. She got the gig which eventually turned into a longer job. DeSz toured with the choir and was featured on the Jesus Is Born album.
DeSz Music
As a musician, DeSz is classically trained. She attended Prairie View A&M University and it was at that time that she took a music tech class and performed at open mics. DeSz became even more interested in producing her own music.
During an interview, she said; “The combination of the two sparked a desire in me to not only be a talented lover of music but to be a participant in developing my own creations.”
