Dax Shepard Biography
A native of Highland Township, Oakland County, Dax Shepard is an American actor and podcast host. He hosts a podcast known as Armchair Expert.
As an actor, Shepard is known for his work in the feature films Without a Paddle (2004), Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005), Employee of the Month (2006), Idiocracy (2006) among many others.

Dax Shepard Parents
Shepard is the son of Laura LaBo and David Robert “Dave” Shepard, Sr. His mother worked at General Motors (GM) while his father was a car salesman. Shepard’s parents divorced when he was 3 years old.
His mother, Laura, worked at shows with traveling events at race tracks. She had started out as a janitor on the midnight shift at GM. She then went on to work in fleet management at the GM proving grounds in Milford, Michigan.
Laura then hosted hospitality days for all the GM family members and eventually moving into public relations at an ad agency. She later went back to GM, becoming the owner of four shops that managed publicity events for magazine journalists.
When Dax was between 14 years to 18 years, he worked with his mother on the road, going from racetrack to racetrack. Shepard also revealed that for about 2 years, he had a stepfather who was an engineer on the Corvette. Dax has had three stepfathers since his mother has been married four times.

Shepard has an older brother, named David Shepard Jr., who lives in Oregon, and a younger half-sister named Carly Hatter. She was cast in two films: 2012’s Hit and Run and 2017’s CHiPs.
Dax Shepard Wife
Shepard is married to actress Kristen Bell. The two met at the birthday party of a mutual friend and began dating in late 2007. In January 2010, they announced their engagement.
However, Dax and Kristen decided to delay marriage until the state of California passed legislation legalizing same-sex marriage. On June 26, 2013, Bell asked Shepard through Twitter to marry her and he accepted.
The couple got married at the Beverly Hills County Clerk’s Office on October 17, 2013.
Dax Shepard Children
Shepard and his wife Kristen Bell have two children together. Their kids were born in March 2013 and December 2014. Their names are Delta Bell Shepard, and Lincoln Bell Shepard.
