A native of Houston, Texas, David Phelps is an American Christian music vocalist, songwriter, and vocal arranger best known as a member of the Gaither Vocal Band.
As a solo artist, Phelps has recorded several albums. In 2009, he got nominated for the Dove Award as the Male Vocalist of the Year.
His 2015 record, Freedom, rose to Billboard’s Music Video chart at number 1.
Phelps attended Tomball High School where he graduated in 1988. He went to enroll at Baylor University and graduated in 1992 with a degree in music and vocal performance.
