She is the secretary of the board for Sasha Bruce Youthwork. Jordan previously worked as an associate professor at the School of Social Service Administration of the University of Chicago from 1970 to 1987.
Jordan also worked as director of social services of Chicago Lying-in Hospital from 1970 to 1985, and director of the Department of Social Services for the University of Chicago Medical Center from 1986 to 1987.
