Amy Cooper Biography

Amy Cooper is an American citizen, working as the Head of Insurance Solutions at Franklin. She leads the insurance portfolio management and strategy at Franklin Templeton.

Cooper went viral on Tuesday, May, 25, 2020 after she was caught on video calling cops on an African-American, falsely accusing him of being a threat to her life.

On May 25, 2020, a video went viral where Amy was caught telling an African-American that she would call police on her man claiming he was a threat to her dog and herself. The man can be heard telling Amy to stay away from him and to ahead and call the police.

She goes ahead calls 911 claiming, the man was attacking her. Amy even fakes cries as if she is being attacked even though it is clearly not true. The man was identified as Christian Cooper, an avid birder.

The viral video was shared on Twitter by Christian Cooper’s sister, Melody Cooper who wrote;

“Oh, when Karens take a walk with their dogs off-leash in the famous Bramble in NY’s Central Park, where it is clearly posted on signs that dogs MUST be leashed at all times, and someone like my brother (an avid birder) politely asks her to put her dog on the leash.”

During the altercation with the man she called cops on, Amy’s dog could be seen struggling and appearing to choke as she held it by the collar. The dog is a cocker spaniel named Henry which was adopted 2 years ago at Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue Inc.

After the incident, Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue Inc. released a statement that read;

“Thank you to the concerned public for reaching out to us about a video involving a dog that was adopted from our rescue a few years ago. As of this evening, the owner has voluntarily surrendered the dog in question to our rescue while this matter is being addressed.

“Our mission remains the health and safety of our rescued dogs. The dog is now in our rescue’s care and he is safe and in good health. We will not be responding to any further inquiries about the situation, either publicly or privately. Thank you for your understanding.”
